ABOUT

ABOUT ME

I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology from Yeshiva University's Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. I have experience providing treatment in a diverse range of settings in New York City and the greater metro area. Some of my prior experience includes positions at SUNY Purchase college counseling center, the American Institute of Cognitive Therapy, Bellevue Hospital, Greystone Park Psychiatric Center and Jacobi Medical Center.

In my private practice, I provide individual treatment to adolescents, adults, and older adults. I also provide couples therapy. My approach to therapy emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship and integrates psychodynamic therapeutic approaches with cognitive behavioral therapies.

I utilize the process of mutual exploration of issues that stem from the past while staying rooted in the present. In times of crisis, I shift into a more active role and focus on skills coaching and managing stress. My goal as a therapist is to help you identify self-defeating patterns of relating to others and oneself so that you may experience relief and greater self-understanding. Ultimately, I hope to help you  live a more intentional, meaningful, and fulfilling life.
